  Electrochemical engineer

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Michigan. My passions lie in educating the next generation of chemical engineers and developing electrochemical technologies to address modern sustainability challenges. As a member of the McNeil Group, my current research centers on advancing electrochemical approaches for upcycling PVC.

I received my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT, where I worked with the Brushett Group, focusing on rational design strategies for redox flow batteries, applying chemical and electrochemical engineering principles to better understand design tradeoffs for constituent materials. Prior to graduate school, I received my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University.

Beyond my research, I am the Editor-in-Chief for the MIT Science Policy Review, a student-run journal which publishes accessible and authoritative science policy reviews at the intersection of science, technology, and policy. I was previously a fellow in the ChemE Communication Lab, teaching science communication principles to students and postdoctoral researchers through individualized coaching and group workshops.
